Truck finance questions

Truck finance is a loan for a tipper, canter or heavier vehicle used to earn income, repaid over a set term. LDM Finance submits one application across a panel of lenders, including UDC Finance, Marac and Avanti Finance, and matches you to a suitable lender. The truck is usually the security for the loan.
Yes, in most cases. Lenders assess the age, type and condition of the truck alongside your trading history and income. Older or specialised trucks can still be financed, though the term or deposit may differ. We match the asset and your circumstances to the lender most likely to support it.
You do not need a licence to apply for finance, but you do need the correct class to drive the truck legally. A car licence covers light trucks up to a set weight, while heavier trucks need a Class 2 licence or higher. Check the requirement for the specific truck before you buy.
Not always a fixed amount. Several lenders on our panel offer zero deposit finance on commercial assets, subject to the truck type, age and your circumstances. A deposit lowers your repayment and total interest, so it is worth weighing against keeping cash in the business.
